“smeSpire” - A European Community of SMEs built on Environmental Digital Content and Languages, an FP7 Support Action started in May 2012, funded by DG INFSO of EC, run by a consortium of 15 partners from 12 EU Member States and coordinated by Epsilon Italia.
The main project aim is to support geo-ICT European SMEs to capitalize the INSPIRE benefits and this will be achieved through several concrete actions, the most important being:
- an assessment of the market potential for geo-ICT SMEs in relation to INSPIRE
- a training framework designed to train environmental data analysis professionals, expert in the maintenance and exploitation of environmental data commons
- a Best Practice catalogue in the field of the management of environmental digital content across Europe
- a series of dissemination events and exploitation tools.
